The faint Sound of Dispute

[Razur]

"Swish...."

The wind spoke but no one heard it.
Pokemon were either attending their children or sitting around telling old jokes.

Though mostly everyone was Searching of that thing.
That horrible, horrible, thing. That monsterous thing, that everyone claimed it to be a gift.

They didn't know what she knew.


An Absol layed asleep in a small cavern. The Rocky surrounding area was quiet, and the snow softly sat on top of everything. The faint sound of crunching foot prints could be heard in the distance. The tribe of Snover was having an arguement with the tribe of Sneazel. The leaders, Weavile and Abomsnow, were arguing over territory.

Abomasnow kept raising it arms, and stomping it's feet saying, "This land belongs to us!"

The Weavile on the other hand, kept jumping around screaming, "This is our territory! You can't take it!"


All the noise happend to wake the Absol up.

'It's those tribes again,' She thought. 'When will they settle their Dispute?'

She got up and walked over to the area where the noise came from and she found herself face-to-face with a Sneasle.

"INTRUDER ALERT! ENEMY WITH IN THE AREA!" the Sneasle screeched.

It was silent, and all eyes fell on the Absol.

"ATTACK!" both tribe leaders yelled as the Absol backed up.

'I have no choice,' she though. 'I have to do it here.'

[Coda]

The spring air lingered around the border, pushing the grasses into all different directions. The winter was mainly over, only small remnants of snow were left and the temperatures were climbing every day. And it was more and more favorable conditions for a search. However, Miyaya did not find the spring the least bit enjoyable.

'The snow is gone, which gives the ice types no cover. The grass types and bug types, however, will have their chance now. The flyers too. I'll have to arrange something soon..' She pondered as she lined the border of her land. But her thoughts were rudely interrupted with a dispute among the usual suspects- the ice types. She swiftly managed to get her way over there without being noticed by either tribe. 'The damned land again, when will these fools stop! This is nonsense!' She scowled profanities in her head. As she was to emerge from the rocks, a small absol emerged from the caves. The two tribes were inclined to attack. They stopped their dispute and charged for the absol. Miya acted fast, as usual.

She quickly stepped in front of the absol and the two groups halted. They knew her anywhere, her beauty was unmistakable. They glared at her with their icy eyes- "You idiots! You barbarous, big muscled idiots! Take time to think, why don't you?" She immediately used a simple [astonish]ing attack towards the group to keep them in place. "You stop your silly bickering's at once! The Sneasl have their land to the west, and the Absomasnow have their land to the west! There will be no fights between you two again, is this CLEAR?" She nearly yelled. If not for the unknown absol, she would have put them in place right then and there, but it was not ideal to do that, without knowing whom the absol was aligned with. It could be a spy from the breakers, or the fighters. Anything was possible now.

They both were standing straighter than usual, and as the weavile nodded and turned, so did the absomasnow. They did not say another word, and they went their separate ways. Miyaya turned around to view the absol whom was behind her. "Don't expect someone to come to the rescue, protect yourself." She said, somewhat inclined to help the pokemon. She took a double take at the absol, looking at it more thoroughly. "Who are you, anyway. And why, might I ask, are you on my territory?" She scowled at the absol.

[Razur]

"Please excuse my intrusion, Madam." The Absol said as she lowered her head. "I am Blanc of the Flames."

Blanc of the Flames was her name from her previous tribe. She had a hunch that this wasn't any ordinary Froslass, especially with the way those tribes fled at sight of her, so she thought it was smart to give her full name.

"I was unaware of this territory belonging to someone. I've only been in this area for a few weeks. I live farther up on the mountain, in a small cavern under a few boulders."

Blanc hesitated a bit after finishing her last sentence. Her eyes narrowed.

"Would you happen to know about it?" she asked cautiously.

[Coda]

The froslass never took her eyes off the pokemon as it introduced itself, and gave its reason. From the description of where she was living, she was mostly near the borders of the territory, far enough form anything she had to worry about. The outskirts of the territory was barely important.

As she heard the Absol's caution with her last statement, she smiled slightly. "But of course. No-Such-Thing, that is. The thing that has driven even the wittiest of pokemon out of their mind in its search." She admired the power of the thing. "And for all they know, it could have never existed.." A tense wave fell over the conversation, as her eyes slipped into a forlorn look. But she quickly shook herself out of it. "Why, is it important to you?" She half scowled, as if she was perhaps mad at the absol for trying to make her remember.

[Razur]

'Oh I'm out to destroy it, don't mind me!'

She couldn't really say that, could she?


"I'm looking for it." Blanc said confedently. "And judging by the look on your face, your hesitating to trust me, am I right? I'm not the only one looking for it, you are too. I bet we're not the only ones."

At this point you could say the Absol was defending herself verbally, with words.

"If something as big as this being looked for, there would need to be a large number of Pokemon to search for it, correct? And not all Pokemon have the same ideals. So there must be groups."

The Absol paused.

"I would tell you why I'm looking for it since that was the question you asked, but it is a personal matter. I cannot yet trust you either, but if you were to gain my trust, I suppose I could tell you."

[Coda]

Miyaya kept her expression blank, it was one mistake she would refuse to make again. That gave away too much, and this Absol didn't miss a beat. She simply eyed the Absol as she continued to explain. And as she finished, the froslass began to think everything over. Of course she wanted to find the damned thing, who in all the land didn't? Everyone wanted it for their own reason, and wanted to get it their own way. Thus the teams were made. Perhaps this Absol was unaware.

"First of all." She said, starting to pace around the dark type. "Watch your mouth. If your gonna make it anywhere, you learn to choose your words a little more carefully." She said with a blank tone. She continued to walk around the area. "Secondly, there are groups. To put it simply, this world has been divided into three groups. Neithers Breakers and Fighters. All with their own motives and such." She smiled in narcissism as her group was named first. "We are the Neithers, the brains that plan our every move." She was getting off topic now, and she knew it.

"Listen here pup." She was controlling some anger now. "Trust is an issue. No one trusts anyone. If you want my advice, keep your motives to yourself. Alliances aren't worth anything anymore, it's a different world." She was getting back into her past again. "But that's not the point. What I'm saying is that you don't expect anyone to be on your side." She was giving out small words of wisdom now. But why? To this canine that wasn't even with her. Or, for that matter, against her.

[Razur]

"Please excuse me for saying such a silly thing." Blanc apologized. "I doubt you want to hear my life story that's as long as the sky."

She pondered for a moment.

"The Neithers, eh?" she asked. "Intelligent group of the three. Judging by what you just told me, you create strategies before charging in to battle. A great list of strategies. That must mean there's a completly idiotic group out there that thinks they can destroy everything within their path with pure raw power. Those ingrates must have a brain the size of a berry..." She trailed off.

The Absol took a familar stance. A stace of hesitation, and precaution.

"I'm not trying to sound offensive, but I would watch your mouth too you know," She said cautiously. "I'm no weak pup."

The Absol stepped back.

"Don't even think about launching an attack," she said sternly. "There's a reason I hold the name 'Blanc of the Flames'."

[Coda]

Miya half smirked. This pup wasn't as idiotic as she had foreseen. But would she know? She's not psychic. She would really need to have a psychic type accompany her sometime. It would come in handy, without a doubt.

"The fighters." She quickly put in, as Blanc made her quick analysis of the other teams. That definitely sounded like them, and she knew it. But when she started to lecture her on her behavior, it was out of place. But she wasn't about to be idiotic about it.

"Let's show it then. Give me your best shot." She smiled. She had been working on her defenses anyone, and this would be a wonderful exercise.

In the distance, she heard a twig crack. She didn't take a glance, but she would deal with it later, it was something that could wait, she knew.

[Razur]

"Very well, Madam." the Absol said with not much excitement. "I must warn you that your moves are quite readable."

The Absol jumpped into ther air.
"Let's start this off with a little blizzard, shall we?"
Her voice seem to fade within the pelting snow.

"I do realize your completely immune to ice attacks," Blanc say between the downpour. "but it's not the damage I'm trying to do quite yet."

[Coda]

"Alright that's your move." She smiled, taking no surprise by the attack of the Absol. She didn't expect this to end to well. After all, this was the disaster pokemon. But she could make a disaster of her own. "Now here's mine." She smiled as she glared through the blizzard. She was in the process of using Leer. It lowered defense of the absol. but also helped her see more clearly through the snow.

But snow was snow.
And snow lowered her accuracy no matter what attack she did.

She continued this traditionally. "Your move pup." She said in a calm tone.

[Razur]

Blanc had been concentrating quite hard on something as she took one step forward.

"May you have mercy, upon your soul..." the Absol said as her voice trailed off...

With a deep breath, and a giant lunge forward, the Absol let out a tremendous ballet of flames.

The Absol hoped that from atop a pine tree, the bombardment of fire would take a larger range.

"Your not dead, are you?" the Absol retorted with a violent glare in her eyes.

[Coda]

Before she had time to react much, the flames bursted through the snow. She had about a half second to brace herself. The flames quickly consumed her, knocking her to the ground. She pushed the dizzy feeling of wanting to black out from the attack. Fire. She knew that was coming, but she seemed to forget the fact she was an ice type.

As she stood up shakily, she nodded. "Yes, I'm fine." She lied as she started to fight the sickness again. "Not bad, I guess." She half-lied. She didn't want to seem too impressed. "In other words, I deem you worthy of this clan. Hopefully we'll have a true battle sometime." She said blankly. She had to leave soon before she completely passed out. And with a twirl she was gone.

"Well, that was brief..." the Absol said pawing at the ground. "Better follow the scent she left so I know where I'm going...."

She wander deeper into the territory, wondering what she would find in an area she hadn't explored yet.
