A great gust of wind cut through the grassy plains. Three more flaps could be heard before a quiet crunch of grass under weight. Round black irises narrowed as the creature scanned the plains. Folding his massive wings, the bird settled down where he was for rest. Tan and brown feathers gave it a sort of shine off the sun. Several feathers, almost as long as his body, came off the bird's head in a flow of red and tan. Ruffling his feathers, the bird took his rest upon the so called "Fighter" territory. The word of "No-Such-Thing" has really gotten to a lot of pokemon, him especially. Rumor or not, legend or not, real or not, there was plenty of uproar. Of course, not everyone agrees with anyone else and thus the three factions were born. He himself thought he would be great in leading the pokemon race to the "No-Such-Thing". Someday...someday leadership will come...he will take it when the time was ripe. Until then...he will build bonds with the leader of "Fighters"...

Mm. It was just like any other day in the hunt for the No Such Thing, nothing changing, always searching. Raonik sighed, his unusual gold eyes narrowing as he strolled through his territory. Perhaps, one day, this would all end. Someone, hopefully him, would complete the harrowing journey to the end, bring back the No Such Thing, and gain the absolute control they all wished for. Perhaps.
Although, in the monotony of the past few monthes, Raonik found it hard to imagine life without the feeling of needing to find the No Such Thing. He passed a few bushes, whose branches caught in his long black-on-gray fur. Snarling with displeasure, he wrestled himself free, shook himself irritably, and continued on. This search, this obsession - it seemed to him as if the Pokemon of this tiny world needed it. When the No Such Thing was finally found...there would be the dawning of a new age of chaos. Perhaps.
But that was the future, and this was now, and the Raonik decided to focus on today was the looming shape that had just landed in the clearing before him. Blinking back a bark of surprise, the Fighter leader stalked out to meet the stranger, indifferent yet wary.
"And who - what - might you be?" he hissed, cauciously making his way forward. His pearly white fangs glittered in the sun. "You have breached the borders of the Fighters territory. State your purpose, or be gone." [/sub]

His senses perked up at the sound. Where or when did someone approach? Turning his head to the side, he saw the dark fur of the other. Narrowing, the bird glared at the canine. Even though he was much larger then the Dark dog, there was a sort of power and authority that radiated from the Mightyenna...something that HE wanted. "Purpose? Hmmph...if you mean by purpose, I'm looking for the 'Fighter' leader. My name will be given to he or she and not to some underling!" The great bird cawed, standing up to his full height.

Raonik stiffened. How dare that useless mass of meat and feathers - underling! Gah! "Ignorant fool!" snarled the dog, rearing up on his hind legs. "I should drag you down here and teach you a lesson in pain. Shouldn't I?" A feral grin played across his features.
"...or, perhaps not." Raonik forced himself to calm down. He leaned back on his haunches, tail waving back forth, looking as regal as he possably could. "I am the leader of the Fighters. What is your business with me?" growled the Mightyena, his eyes shooting rays of gold at the tan bird. Perhaps...this powerful Pokemon could make a valuable addition to his group. Better he claim it than those trecherous Breakers or Neithers. But that bird would need to learn to show some respect...he flexed his claws in the dirt, still irritated. But maybe the flying meat had other business...who knew. But whether today brought a new member or a new enemy, Raonik was ready for it.

The bird gave a sort of snort before turning to the side and closed his eyes. This was the leader of Fighters? Well that was just his luck. Opening his eyes, the black eyes still showed their fierceness but a sense of calm had appeared. "My apologies...sir..." he said, forcing himself to greet and show a little respect to the canine. "My name is Dulinar...I've been looking for you. My business is my request to join Fighters." Yes...play it safe. Learn who and what you are dealing with first before tackling it. His request seemed bland and to the point but the bird was ready to show his worth...and eventually his control.

"....." Raonik said nothing. Of course, the bird would be a valuable asset to the Fighters - his physical prowness was obvious. But the Fighter leader didn't want to take chances. He turned his gaze away from the other, instead lifting up his paw and picking at a claw with his teeth. "Perhaps." Raonik replied, his voice as flat as possible. "But why should I? What is your value, flying meat?"

"Value? Hmmph..." Dulinar turned away in slight disgust at the Leader's remark, body tensing up again. He wasn't going to just be some item used. "If you have a test of worthiness, spit it out and I'll show you." He clawed the ground with his talons and spread his wings out, though not to their fullest. Folding them back in against his body, the fierceness leaving him yet again. "Value...value...value...what exactly are you looking for?"

"Good question." Raonik answered, beginning to pace around the bird. "What am I looking for...certaintly not a scrap of meat and feathers that cannot show due respect." He snorted with disgust. "However powerful you may be, until that small brain of yours can register the fact that I am your superior, no one will take you in, flying meat."
The mightyena sighed, and ocntinued pacing. He waved his tail aloft behind him - sometimes brushing the feathers of the stranger. "Do not think I am bluffing - Miyaya and Zerale are even less lenient than me. If you cannot manage to make it here, then, well," Raonik stopped, a spark of mischief appearing in his yellow eyes, "Then you are doomed to be struck down by someone. Eventually."
"Now, let's see." The Fighter leader sat down, meeting Dulinar's eyes. "You seem to be of adequete size and power. I would like you do accomplish a certain task for me - prove to me your strength and potential loyalty, flying meat." He sighed. "Do you accept?"

Dulinar resisted the urge to retort back, he didn't want to screw up his chance for applications. "Very well sir..." Closing his eyes, he took a deep breathe before turning back to the canine with a calmness in his eyes. "Then by my life blood, I swear my loyalty to you. I am yours in mind, body, and spirit." His promise came out much easily then the way he was talking before. "What do I have to do?" This meeting would only set him back slightly. The future seemed much brighter then it was before.

"Well, flying meat, that would depend. What can you do for me? Hm?" The mightyena started pacing around the Pidgeot again, humming. What could this feathered beast accomplish for him....ah.
"Those schemeing Neithers." He barked, smirking. "I want you to take flight and scout the Neither's territory for me. Hover aroudn the borders, see if they're getting any new recruits. Understood?"
"Accomplish this and you will be accepted as a Fighter." [/sub]

(I want to put in one quick clarification before I post, do you want me to post in the Neither's board as a scout post or post here as a simple post and return quickly?)

(Makes sense...quick simple one section post.)
It took a lot of willpower to suppress a snort at the canine's assignment. Scout duty? That was peon work. Closing his black eyes, a slight nod came from the bird. "Very well sir..." He had a distinct idea where the Neither territory was since he did pass by it while heading here. Turning his back to Raonik, Dulinar opened his eyes and stared into the sky. A slight breeze had picked up. Spreading his massive wings, the bird gave two flaps to get airborne. The grass around him flapped furiously, some cut by the razor wind whipped up. Without another word and another flap of his wings, his body was blurred as he ascended upwards before becoming a brown speck in the distance.
Dulinar looked down after a minute of flying. Nothing for quite a while. A lot of the territory was disputed and hard to make out boarder lines. The birds altitude wasn't as high as he would have preferred for his scouting duty but his mach speed and keen eyesight made it easy to spot and escape. He was about to return back to Fighter territory when movement caught his eye. Snover...and Sneasel...two tribes, native perhaps, returning to their home. Near them, two irregular species that stood out from the Grass/Ice and Dark/Ice types.
One was an Absol, not often seen in the area as Ice types seemed to dominate here. There was something about the Disaster pokemon that bothered him. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more behind the white fur. The other was a Frosslass, seemingly calm and serene. There was an aura of authority around the ghost, something similiar to Raonik so a plausible guess that the Frosslass was the Neither's leader. The two seemed to be engaged in conversation but were way out of earshot range. Going any closer or hanging around any longer would alert them of his presence. Nodding to himself, his body shifted to a u-turn, the wind making a whistling noise as it passed through his feathers. With a flap, he made his quick return back to "safe" territory.
A thud was heard as the bird landed back in Fighter territory. He hadn't expected the leader to be waiting for him. Folding his wings up to his body, he walked up to the canine, having landed only a few yards away. Once approaching in range, Dulinar gave a slight bow to his superior.

"Hm."
Raonik watched as the Pidgeot made his landing and approached him, with a slight bow. "Well, I am glad you came back so quickly," Raonik rasped, grinning, "You spent too little time there to make a pact of any sort with that scheming Miyaya. If you had stayed any longer, perhaps I would have decided to dispose of you...but no matter!" Raonik gave a happy little bark and trotted over to Dulinar. "Well done, flying meat. Now, follow me, and I will lead you to camp."
And so Raonik bounded off into the trees at a fast pace, not even waiting for Dulinar to catch up.
OOC// Congratulations, you have have sucessfully cleared this board. Please procede to the Fighters Camp board and continue your story there. Good luck and keep on roleplaying! //OOC [/sub]

(I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to put a final post here but I'll put one anyways.)
Dulinar just shook his head. Was it really that easy? No matter, at least there wasn't any real problems that had to be caused. Spreading his wings, the bird took off into the air and followed his new leader, keeping up in speed as he followed to base camp.
